I think that these findings show that society does not give the elderly the same care that is given to others. The elderly are given care, but it is often more like they are just trying to prolong the inevitable and that the elderly are not given the same opportunities to thrive and improve as those younger than them. I think that this is possibly harmful to our culture, because though the elderly may not be as contemporary as the modern generation, there is a lot to be gained from their experience and by paying attention to their pasts and our history as a whole we could thrive forward.
